CREATE Council for Resources to Enrich the Arts, Technology & Education (formerly the Greene County Council on the Arts) is pleased to present, 10 x 10 Exhibit: Small Works Large Scale featuring original artwork created by CREATE Members and emerging artists. The 10 x 10 Small Works large Scale exhibition will run from November 23, 2019-Januaary 4, 2020. Over 100 people attended the opening reception on November 23, at CREATE’s Catskill Gallery, 398 Main Street in Catskill, NY.
This new Members Exhibit is first of its kind and challenges the artists’ creativity in many ways. First, to create small works. Second to present their work to be presented in the overall dimensions of exactly 10 inches x 10 inches. From there the possibilities are endless and vast. Though the artwork may be small in size, the scale is large balancing a thought, creativity, problem solving with unique voice and expression.
Artists were offered the opportunity to create up to four works sanctioning the view to see a body of their work in one exhibit. Over 140 two-dimensional and sculptural works will be on display, most priced at $300 or less, just in time for holiday giving.
Participating Artist Members include Noelle Adamoschek, Laura Avello, Ritva Babcock, Maureen Flynn Bagshaw, Marty Bannan, William Barnds, Jaqueline Benevento, Natalie Boburka, John Carver, Dot Chast, Shelley Davis, Nancy De Flon, Bill Deane, Chris DeMarco, Maureen Garcia, Elizabeth Gioja, Rodney Alan Greenblat, Christine Hicks, Philip Howie, EA Kafkalas, Peter Keitel, Deena Lebow, Linda Lynton, Kate Masters, Ken McCarthy, Maeve McCool, Dan McCormack, Barbara McGeachen, Michelle Moran, Steven Nielsen, Emily Pell, Regine Petrosky, Chuck Pierce, Karen F.
