Window On Hudson proudly ends the year with “Some Soft Thoughts” by mixed-media fiber artist Becca Van K. Van K has filled the windows and indoor exhibition space with a large grouping of woven objects including wooden chairs, folding chairs, wall hangings, and much more. These functioning furniture pieces are created with bright neon colored yarns, beads, and fake fur, creating the atmosphere of a late 90’s techno club VIP room heavily which is referencing the Memphis interior design style. ...

Join us for the opening on 11/20/21 of • Selects-@-CREATE • a new exhibit at CREATE curated by Daniel Aycock and Kathleen Vance of Front Room Gallery, in conjunction with Open Source Gallery. The opening reception will be held on November 20 from 2-7pm, with our neighbor Citiot holding a closing reception for their current pop-up gallery the same day! Deadline for County Initiative Program (CIP) application. Greene County arts organizations interested in applying for 2019 CIP funding should contact Marline A. March 12, 2019-The Painter’s Forum at GCCA. A casual conversation and exchange between painters-it is not a critique. Bring in a work that is in progress or one you finished. GCCA will have easels available for displaying your piece-this is not a time to paint-rather engage with other artists who make art with paint. For the first several sessions Luis Macia will lead/start the discussion. 1pm. Painter’s Forum will repeat every second Tuesday of the month and it can be on a “drop-in” basis-in other words it can fit into your schedule from week to week. However, due to limited seating those interested must register in advance with Sharon at GCCA at sharon@greenearts.org or 518-943-3400.
