Writing Grants: A Workshop for Artists

w/ Andrea Kleine

Wednesday, Nov. 13th
6-7:15pm
Zoom / Virtual

Join writer, artist, and consultant Andrea Kleine to learn about putting together a grant application and writing about your work. In this workshop, we will go over what makes a compelling project description, how to write an artist statement, and how to select work samples that showcase who you are. We will do some quick writing exercises and have time for a Q&A about finding grants and support for your work.

Andrea Kleine is the author of two novels CALF (2015, Soft Skull Press), a Publishers’ Weekly Best Fiction Book of 2015, and EDEN (2018, HMH/Mariner), a finalist for a Publishing Triangle Award for LGBTQ fiction. A multi-hyphenate artist, her work includes fiction, essays, performances, and, most recently, films. She is a consultant and coach for artists and arts organizations, and she is currently a staff member at New York Foundation for the Arts.
