The Art of Ornamentation, an essential element of the Baroque performance practice, will be celebrated in this special performance with Annette von Brenndorff on recorders and baroque oboe, Christina Porkert on cello, and Sarah Stosiek, supporting the basso continuo part, with the lyre. In various chamber as well as solo pieces the listener will experience, especially in the slow movements, rich embellishments of melodies, i.e. the practice of improvisation, which is customary for the performance of early music and a way for the soloist to show off her creativeness and musical talent! The program features music by A. Corelli and G. Ph. Telemann as well as lesser-known contemporaries such as F. Barsanti, J.B. Pla and others.
