Music at the Grazhda

The final concert of the season will feature violinist Filip Pogády with Pavlo Gintovat the piano in a performance of old classics as well as pieces by Franz Waxman, known primarily as a composer of film music. Filip Pogády has been praised by the press for the “beauty of his tone” and “lightning-like virtuosity.” He has performed in some of the most renowned concert venues in the world including Lincoln Center (New York), Rudolphinum (Prague), Konzerthaus (Vienna), Tel Aviv Opera House, Kamakura Arts Center (Kamakura), Natori Arts Center (Tokyo), Lotte Hall (Seoul), and Seoul Arts Center. Pogády earned his Master’s Degree in Violin Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, where he was awarded a full scholarship. Pavlo Gintov is a virtuoso pianist and an exceptional educator. He has toured throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States, appearing at such stages as Carnegie Hall in New York, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Teatro Verdi Nationale in Milan, and Kioi Hall in Tokyo. A native of Ukraine, the prize-winning Gintov holds a Doctor of Musical Art degree from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
Gintov and Pogády will perform works by Beethoven, Brahms, Ysaye, and Waxman.
