Music at the Grazhda

The distinguished opera soprano Stefania Dovhan will be the featured artist at the first concert. Ms. Dovhan began her vocal studies at the Baltimore School for the Arts; she holds degrees from the University of Maryland and the Augsburg Academy of Music in Germany. Ms. Dovhan sang leading roles in such prestigious opera houses as Royal Opera, New York City Opera, Mozarteum in Austria, Staatstheater in Nürnberg (Germany), and Theater Hagen in Germany, where the German Critics Association named her “the Best Emerging Young Female Singer” for her portrayal of Cleopatra in Handel’s opera Giulio Cesare. Volodymyr Vynnytsky will be at the piano. Works by Rossini, Bellini, Schubert, Schumann, Sonevytsky and Stepovy will be performed.
