Generative Writing Workshop

The creative process is a constantly unfolding act of discovery fueled by imagination, not reason. Mystery and emotion, not logic or preconceived ideas. In these generative workshops we will be creating original material inspired by a variety prompts and writing exercises designed to help you tap into your creativity, recognize the wealth of experience you have to draw on and get it on the page. 

Elissa Schappell is the author of two books of fiction and co-editor of two anthologies. She has taught in the MFA Creative Writing programs at Columbia and NYU and various other places. Elissa was also a cofounder and Editor-at-large of Tin House magazine, and a former Senior Editor of the Paris Review.
