Dwelt: Exploring Structural Significance
Co-curated by Monika Zarzeczna and Stella Yoon
Gallery – 1st Floor
July 19 – Sept 1
Buildings offer a physical and metaphorical space to embody parts of our lives. In constructing narratives of personal histories, places frame and create not only a backdrop but become a character in how these stories are formed and remembered. Dwelt features works by Pauline DeCarmo, Amanda C. Mathis, Elizabeth Messer and Monika Zarzeczna which utilize structures as a container for memories and examining experiences.
An opening reception will be held on Friday, July 19th from 5 to 7pm.
A special artist talk will be held during Catskill’s First Fridays on Aug. 2 that is free and open to the public.
