Dust Bowl Faeries w/Melora Creager (of Rasputina), Graveside Variety Woodstock
On Friday April 26th please join Dust Bowl Faeries trio for an evening of accordion-driven dark-folk music featuring special guest Melora Creager (of Rasputina), presented by Amanda Palmer’s Graveside Variety listening room in Woodstock NY, 8pm.
A faerie-tale fusion of dark cabaret and gothic polka music, DUST BOWL FAERIES is an accordion driven dark-cabaret band from the New York Hudson Valley. The band’s eclectic repertoire draws inspiration from post-punk, murder ballads, circus songs and Eastern European folk music. Singing saw, electric bass and acoustic guitar accompany the olde worlde squeeze-box to create the Dust Bowl Faeries otherworldly sound. Dust Bowl Faeries was founded by Ryder Cooley (faerie queen) and her taxidermy spirit animal, Hazel the Ram. Ryder is joined by Jon B Woodin (rocked faerie) and Jude Roberts (hobbit faerie) for this graveside performance, with special guests (to be announced) and faerie surprises for all of you wonderful creatures who choose to join us, we look forward to celebrating you, darkly.
