The Two Of Us Productions, the award winning theater company based in Columbia County NY, is pleased to present the 4th installment of their Virtual Live-Staged Reading Series for 2024. This 4th installment is a Halloween special production of “Dracula” by Bram Stoker & adopted by Orson Welles for the Mercury Theater Of The Air. This performance is being presented on Saturday evening Octobert 26th, 2024 at 7:00pm in collaboration with Roving Actors’ Repertory Ensemble (RARE) Inc.
Dracula is a 1897 gothic horror novel by Irish author Bram Stoker. It is presented with a combination of live action interspersed with a narrative is related in the form of letters, diary entries, and newspaper articles. It has no single protagonist and opens with solicitor Jonathan Harker taking a business trip to stay at the castle of a Transylvanian nobleman, Count Dracula. Harker escapes the castle after discovering that Dracula is a vampire, and the Count moves to England and plagues the seaside town of Whitby. A small group, led by Abraham Van Helsing, investigate & hunt down the cunning Dracula, finally cornering him in his last remaining hiding place and killing him to the last rays of the setting sun

The Two Of Us Productions is well known throughout the Hudson Valley for presenting quality theater, both musicals and dramas. Their recent productions of Sweeney Todd, Cabaret, Young Frankenstein, Deathtrap, Chicago, Les Miserables, next to normal, Mamma Mia! and Jesus Christ Superstar were all recognized by the Theatre Association of NYS with multiple awards, including outstanding work by the company & outstanding performance by the orchestra. Reviews of their recent virtual live-staged readings of three Arthur Miller scripts; All My Sons, Broken Glass, and an adaption of An Enemy Of The People will appear in upcoming editions of The Arthur Miller Journal.
