Contra Dance

Come dance in a historic grange hall with great acoustics and a second story wood floor! The Breakabeen Grange in Schoharie County will complete it’s 2024 contra dance series with an evening dance featuring The Catskill Gamblers with Robby Poulette calling dances.

The Catskill Gamblers feature Bernd Neumann on fiddle and Catskill native Jon Woodin on guitar. Dances will be taught by Robby Poulette, a Cooperstown native who discovered contra dancing while attending the regular dances at Hartwick College. His easy instruction and fun dances is a delight among beginners and more experienced dances alike. No partner needed, all dances taught, and beginners are welcome!
