Member Day Field Trip: Shaker Museum

Shaker Museum in Old Chatham is in the midst of a capital campaign to open a new museum in downtown Chatham. Their 18,000 piece collection of Shaker objects is the most comprehensive in the world, but the majority is not currently on public view.

CREATE members are invited to visit Shaker Museum’s administrative campus in Old Chatham for a rare collections tour. Usually available only to Shaker Museum members, these behind-the-scenes tours offer a close-up look at the museum’s large collection of Shaker furniture, tools, costumes, and more.
