Bring a t-shirt that you no longer wear (or never wore because it was an unwarranted gift or a “prize” at the finish line of a 5K) and turn it into art! Join Super-Stories (@_superstories_) and visiting zero waste artist Janelle Abbott (@janellerabbott) for this playful workshop focused on the transformative power of clothing. We will be using textile scraps, junk drawer items, and a whole bucket of embellishments to turn these sad, sorry t-shirts into fun, imaginative works of art that are fit to be worn on the body or on the wall! No sewing experience needed. The workshop will include brief tutorials on hand sewing, one at 10:15 and another at 11:45. Please bring one or more t-shirts with you and any kind of listless material from around your house to use as appliques on your tee: gloves and socks with no mates, broken jewelry, keys to nowhere, plastic cutlery, fruit mesh, etc. Anything goes!
