CREATE: Moving Pictures
Community Fundraising Event—September 17
featuring short films by and about artists from our region
Join us for CREATE: MOVING PICTURES, a community fundraising event on
September 17th at 7:30 (doors open at 6:30). The evening of original
short films by and about artists from our region supports our regional
arts council and celebrates the diversity of artists living and creating
work here.
The event will take place at the Greeneville Drive-In,
located at 10700 NY-32, Greeneville, NY 12083. The program runs
approximately 90 minutes and COVID protocols will be strictly observed.
Tickets are only $35, and may be purchased through CREATE’s website:
https://www.createcouncil.org/. Attendees may also order meat or vegetarian
charcuterie boxes crafted by Heather Ridge Farm ($16 each) to enjoy at
the event.
The featured filmmakers include: Jennie Allen, Mark Allen, Michael Almereyda, Boston Typewriter Orchestra, Brian Dewan, Barry Gerson, Dwight Grimm, Jeffrey Lependorf, Sondra Loring, and Shanekia McIntosh. The delightful evening includes everything from moving short subjects to delightfully funny flicks, and from dance on film to experimentally engaging images.
